Dark Griffin

I wanted to make a black griffin with a panthers body. I thought it might be a good idea. I used water colour and I almost ended up throwing it away... but I didn't give up and towards the end I spruced it up a bit with some prisma colors (pencils). That really gave it an edge! This was a very fun piece and I think the character might be very interesting to mess around with a little more. How often do you come across dark griffins?
